With its dramatic zinc paneled ceiling, the design of Zinc is as inspired as its location and the extraordinary food creations on its menu.
II BY IV Design Associates took to the periodic table of elements to form the shapes, colours and textures of the restaurant. The result is a unique destination that is transitioned seamlessly from the gallery space.
Soaring 35 foot windows flank the restaurant on three sides and provide stunning views of Edmonton's eclectic downtown Arts District. The windows are juxtaposed by a rustic 14 foot feature wall crafted from end-cut Douglas Fir that perfectly compliments the custom designed tall banquettes.
Cobalt blue glass adorns the glazing at the entry as well as the feature walls throughout the restaurant. The striking backlit bar draws patrons into the space and high polished black chrome rocks form the hostess station and entrance artwork. Illuminated glass and black chrome blades create intimate environments within the restaurant, while referencing the geometry of the space.
